Snap Sets for Leather, Canvas, Nylon and Thermoform Sheet
Shop snap fasteners in four-piece sets for leather, canvas, nylon and KYDEX® thermoform sheet, suited to leatherwork, field gear and custom accessories. Alongside standard Line 20 and Line 24 snaps, the range includes Pull-the-Dot® colors, decorative designer caps and a black Durable™ set built to a military specification.
These snaps come in two sizes, called lines. Line 20 is the compact choice for leather in the 5 to 7 oz range, with a smaller cap diameter and shorter post, and Line 24 steps up in cap diameter and post length for leather between 8 and 10 oz and heavier applications. Both lines suit leather and thermoform projects, also work with nylon, canvas and rubber, and come in finishes such as brass and nickel silver plate.
Pick the black Durable™ set when a build has to meet MIL-10884 specs (MS27980 Style 2). Made in the USA from heavy-gauge brass or stainless steel, it pierces its own hole and has a narrow-tolerance socket with a floating ring for smooth, repeatable snap engagement. The plain cap is 0.59 inches in diameter, the post stands 0.25 inches tall, and the SSETL24 Snap Setter installs it.
Line 24 is also offered as Pull-the-Dot® sets colored nickel silver, coyote brown or black oxide, and as designer sets with 24 cap designs such as Jumping Fish, Round Buffalo Coin and Bling Skull. Each of these sets installs with the matching Snap Setter for its line, sold separately.
