BOLTARON® in Gunmetal Gray is a value-priced thermoform sheet with a haircell texture on its finished face and a smooth back, finished in a dark gunmetal gray. It is made in the USA as a dependable alternative to KYDEX® and HOLSTEX®, and it press forms or vacuum forms into tough, impact-resistant parts.
That makes it a cost-effective sheet for kayak keel guards, RC parts, cosplay armor, protective covers and guards, and molded panels, especially on larger runs where material cost adds up. It is also widely used for gun holsters, knife sheaths, and other molded gear.
BOLTARON® forms at 290°F to 350°F. Heat the sheet evenly, press or vacuum it over your mold, let it cool in place, and then trim and finish the edges. It handles much like other thermoform sheets, so it drops into an existing forming setup with little adjustment.
Gunmetal Gray is available in .080 and .093 gauge in sheet sizes from 8in x 8in up to 2ft x 4ft, and CKK Plastics can cut sheet down to the size you need. Select your gauge and size from the options above.
