Sanding belt cleaners work to clean and dress sanding belts of all grits, freeing the belts of particles that lodge themselves between the abrasive grains, eventually causing a dull cut. Rubber Erasers are used to clean metal or wood particles from sanding belts to extend the life of the sanding belt by 30 - 50%. This is one of the best belt maintenance products you can use to get you the most bang for your buck in extending the life of your abrasive sanding belts.

Belt erasers can be used on either ceramic, zirconia, or aluminum oxide sanding belts. Erasers are compatible and extend the life of all three types of material. The eraser will remove dust buildup from metal such as steel, stainless steel, and aluminum and various nonmetal products such as G10, plastics, woods (all types), and many others. The best way to extend the life of a ceramic, zirconia, or aluminum oxide sanding belt is by using a rubber eraser. The eraser is held up to the sanding belt for about 3 - 6 seconds to fully unclog the sanding belt of any built up metal, wood, or plastic material that was being sanded. These erasers can extend the life of the sanding belt up to 50%. Many soft woods will clog the sanding belt and cause the belt to "glaze" over and prevent the grit from sanding.
