CURV® in Ranger Green is a self-reinforced thermoplastic composite sheet made from heat-compacted woven polymer fibers, with a 3K twill weave face in a deep ranger green that suits outdoor and tactical builds. It is 100% thermoplastic with no glass fiber, and its 12 layers (1.4mm) give it high stiffness and impact strength at a low weight.
CURV® is mostly used to make flat parts. It can be milled, lasered, or waterjet cut into kayak keel guards, RC parts and chassis plates, cosplay armor plates, protective panels, and other parts that need to be light, stiff, and tough. Holster and sheath makers also cut it into flat components.
It holds its impact and crack resistance in freezing temperatures, and it is chemically inert and unaffected by most solvents and cleaning agents, so parts hold up outdoors and in the shop. It is also easy to recycle.
CURV® can be pressure-thermoformed into complex parts, but it does not form like KYDEX® at the same temperatures. If you have not thermoformed it before, please contact us for forming information and procedures before you start.
Ranger Green is available in 12 layer (1.4mm) sheet in sizes from 8in x 12in up to 2ft x 4ft, and CKK Plastics can cut sheet down to the size you need. Select your size from the options above.
