The CKK VacuForge™ 12-inch press is a totally new take on membrane thermoplastic vacuum forming technology. This vacuum forming tool is made out of high-quality materials and is designed for frequent daily use. It is the only thermoform sheet vacuum forming press of its kind on the market.
This press uses a high-heat membrane material secured to the lid by a "pinch" retention design. This lid design is the most secure and easiest to replace membrane retainer on the market. With the use of a specially formed heat-sink board over the vacuum grid base design, this press can stand up to repeated, back-to-back, all-day thermoforming use.
The pre-installed heavy-duty vacuum membrane seals on a raised edge around the vacuum chamber base with a magnetic lid retention design. This allows the lid to be closed and retained prior to initial vacuum drawdown. The VacuForge™ 12-inch forming press includes (1) pre-installed 1/4 inch brass ball valve with threaded nipple on the intake side and (1) vacuum gauge with a 1/4 inch brass ball valve on the vacuum release side. Using this press is as simple as connecting an existing vacuum pump to the 1/4 inch intake nipple connector and turning on the pump. Vacuum drawdown is a smooth and quick process.
This press was designed to require as little air volume as possible to apply a quick vacuum to the preheated workpiece. This molding press features a workspace-conscious footprint design and has built-in plumbing for a plug-and-play application. All you have to do is hook up your vacuum pump and get started. How to Use:

Prepare Your Material: Heat your thermoplastic material (KYDEX®, HOLSTEX®, Boltaron®, or leather) to a temperature of 300-375°F (depending on the material and your oven settings). Be sure to evenly heat your material for the best results.

Wrap Your Item: Once the material reaches the desired temperature, wrap it around the object you wish to mold (e.g., knife, gun, flashlight). Refer to our video tutorials for guidance on this step.

Place in Vacuum Molding Press: Insert the preheated thermoform sheet-wrapped item into the vacuum molding press. The press can accommodate flat-backed molding styles. Close the presses lid until magnetic retention is achieved.

Apply Vacuum Pressure: Apply vacuum pressure to ensure the material molds to the item. The press will automatically adjust the pressure needed for proper molding. Allow the material to cool and set into its final form.

Remove Your Item: Once the material has cooled and hardened, carefully remove it from the molding press. Your sheath or holster is now ready for finishing!
